Launched in 1933 and famed for its chocolate-and-cream Pullman livery, silver-service dining, and luxurious interiors, the Brighton Belle was more than just a train — it was an experience. From business commuters to day-trippers, everyone who stepped aboard knew they were travelling in style.

Running between London Victoria and Brighton in just one hour, the Belle became a jewel of the Southern Railway, and even after its final run in 1972, all 15 of its Pullman cars survived — many still in use today on the Belmond British Pullman or being restored for a return to the mainline.
