The Sage / Breville Smart Scoop ice cream machine is a great gadget for making your own ice cream whenever you want it. On the positive side it makes perfect desserts and a wide range too, but on the downside it's noisy and expensive.

NOTE: I said 'compressor' when I meant 'condenser', I guess I had brain freeze.

I also include an ice cream recipe in this video. Recipe for butterscotch ice cream:
500ml double cream
250ml whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 egg yolks
120g soft brown sugar

Simmer the cream and milk together with the vanilla. Meanwhile whisk the egg yolks and sugar together with a pinch of salt. Gradually add the simmering cream to the egg and once combined return to the heat. Simmer until thickened, then refrigerate for an hour. Churn in the ice cream machine to your desired setting. Transfer to a tub and freeze for an hour before serving.
