A short, jovial and informal introduction to dual process theory, how it works, and how knowing about it can help one correct his biases. It goes (nearly) without saying that dual process theory is not the only theory of cognition: perhaps there aren't really two distinct cognitive processes that operate in our brains but maybe it's more of a spectrum of processes. In any case, one can hardly discount the influence of dual process theory on the realm of psychology.
