[Double R151 on CGL!] SMRT Trains - Alstom R151 [829/830] [Tanah Merah → Changi Airport]

This video features an Alstom Movia R151, 829/830, which is from CHD to serve CGL for the whole day under the weekend schedule, from EW4 Tanah Merah to CG2 Changi Airport.

After about 1 year since the R151s have been introduced onto the NSEWL with the R151s recently seeing Revenue Service on NSL, the R151s have finally seen its lights on the Changi Branch Line. The day before, 823/824 did its soft launch and act as a passengers load test on the Changi Branch Line where it only ran for 2 Round Trips before withdrawing back into CHD. Unfortunately, I could not catch it since I overslept.

Looks like after many years, we might see a stock change from the daily KHIs on CGL to the R151s running on CGL much more frequently! Feels very refreshing to ride the R151s on CGL, since they are also the future of our transportation and looks futuristic especially at Changi Airport station, which is the first thing that tourists will see when riding the MRT to Tanah Merah.

But so happened that the R151s were officially deployed to run on the Changi Branch Line for today! What was even better was that there were 2 R151s that ran on CGL, the other being 831/832. In this video at around 4:03 to 4:09, you would see that 829/830 (departing Expo for Changi Airport) and 831/832 (arriving Expo from Changi Airport) actually met up near Expo station, making it a rare sight for both of them to meetup on its 1st day on CGL! This sight will eventually become very common in the future, so it is best that I film these kind of sights now!

Note that 829/830 does not have the "Please use the lift" announcements updated, while 831/832 has and also displays it on the CLD in all 4 languages.
