Cardioid setting. Record directly with iPhone 8. I put the mic point on fret 12 and about a half meter away from the guitar.
No effect added. No room treatment so you can hear the background noise from the refrigerator. The sound is very honest
If you have a big quiet room, with a good setup, this micro will work even better
My guitar is Takamine Npt-110 1996, all laminate guitar, Daddario XT 11-52 string (quite old string)
Worthwhile for 50$
