Equations of MEDIANS, RIGHT BISECTORS, & ALTITUDES

Описание к видео Equations of MEDIANS, RIGHT BISECTORS, & ALTITUDES

Learn how to write the equation of a median, right bisector, or altitude of a triangle.

Median - A line from a vertex of a triangle that goes to the midpoint of the opposite side
Right Bisector - A line that intersects another line at its midpoint and at a 90 degree angle
Altitude - A line from a vertex of a triangle that goes to the opposite side of the triangle and forms a 90 degree angle with the opposite side.

The lines are written in the format y=mx+b. Slope and midpoint formulas are often used in order to determine the information necessary to write the equation of the line.
