Chevy & GMC A/C Condenser Replacement - '14 - '20 Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Sierra, Silverado

This video will show you how to replace the ac condenser, with the integrated accumulator, performed on a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe 5.3L V8. The condenser design is shared with the Yukon, Suburban, Sierra, Silverado and Escalade with minor differences. The weak area of this condenser is the refrigerant supply and return connection line that develops hairline cracks resulting in freon leakage.

The ac accumulator is integrated with the condenser and approximately 2.5 oz of PAG 46 oil must be added to compensate for lost oil from the freon leakage, residual oil in the condenser, and accumulator. In addition, a small amount of ATF transmission oil will be lost with this replacement (approximately 1/4 quart) since the condenser has an integrated transmission oil cooler.
