LIVE: Typhoon Bebinca Reduces to Tropical Storm After Making Landfall in Shanghai

Two people died in China's eastern Jiangsu province as Typhoon Bebinca made a landfall in world's mega-financial hub Shanghai. Two residents of Zhoushi Town, about 80 kilometres northwest of Shanghai, were hit by a falling high-voltage power line and electrocuted on Monday, according to state broadcaster CCTV. The Category 1 storm, is the most powerful tropical cyclone to directly hit the city in more than seven decades. Rain lashed the city and strong winds felled more than 10,000 trees across Shanghai as more than 400,000 people were evacuated from at-risk homes in Bebinca's path.
