Southern New Englanders jam beaches in search of relief from the heat

With the adults off work and many kids out of school for Juneteenth, it was no wonder that Rhode Island beaches filled to capacity before noon Wednesday.

Thousands looking to beat the heat made the trip across the state to reach the water.
