Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland Paweł Bejda announced that another batch of K2 Black Panther tanks supplied from South Korea has arrived in the country. This batch includes 6 K2 Black Panther tanks, bringing the number of K2 tanks delivered to Poland to 77.

The previous delivery was made in mid-November. Polish Deputy Defense Minister Paweł Bejda said in a statement on his official X account that 12 K9 self-propelled howitzers, 9 K2 Black Panther main battle tanks and 8 Homar-K procured from South Korea had arrived in the country.

The K2 tank deal with South Korea is not Poland’s only major tank procurement program. In addition to the K2 Black Panther tanks, Poland has also signed deals for American-made Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 tanks and German Leopard 2A5 tanks, which further strengthen its armored forces. The procurement agreements are part of a broader effort to replace Poland’s old Soviet-era tanks, such as the T-72 and PT-91 Twardy, and modernize its inventory to NATO standards.
