The Princess Bride, The Kingdom of Florin and The Peak District, Part 1

A documentary film about the Princess Bride, the fictional Kingdom of Florin and its connection with the Peak District. This is the first part of the first film in the 'Film Footprints' Series in which I explore the locations of a given film, whilst also discussing the history and merits of the film itself. The Princess Bride (1987) shot a great deal of its location work within the Peak District National Park and this film takes place over 5 days and covers 5 walks that visit each of the shooting locations. On our journey, we also discover more about the Peak District, its legends and its history as well as some of the issues the park faces today. Shot entirely with a 360 camera and an occasional drone, it provides a unique perspective on what is a fascinating area and a fascinating film.
