Rachel Reeves has been pictured holding the chancellor's red box outside No 11 Downing Street ahead of announcing the budget in the Commons.

The UK's first female chancellor will later deliver the first Labour budget since Alistair Darling in 2010.

She has promised to put "more pounds in people's pockets".
