Summer Bow Stand Prep on an Oxbow of a River! | Hunting Land Mike

There is so many benefits to setting up strategic bow stands and see stands in the middle of the summer before season. For one it allows you to clear out shooting and access so you don’t disturb habitat during the season. Secondly you can make a bunch of noise and scout around well before season as well. The. Come your first sit you just go access quietly on the right conditions and enjoy your hunt.

This bow stand is set up in a sweet little pinch point where deer utilize to move from bedding to other food sources. After observations during other hunts and some trail camera scouting we have honed in on this outside edge of the oxbow of this river. Deer utilize this pinch point as a major intersection to access food, bedding, and moving to different parts of the farm.
