Tom McLoughlin - Doin’ Christmas Time (Official Music Video)

This single, released 2nd December 2022, is the third and final from the album ‘Roots’ which dropped on Halloween. This song was a lot of fun to write and record. Christmas is my favourite time of year and having listened to various Christmas blues numbers down the years from the likes of Joe Bonamassa, I wanted to create my own alternative Christmas anthem.

The song focuses on the goings on behind bars at Christmas time and what various inmates think about at that time of year.

I play rhythm guitar with Nicky V doing an insanely good job on lead. Victoria Hawkes is on backing vocals, drums are Glenn Welman, bass is Ivan Krnić and we have Abramo Riti on Hammond organ.

Paul ‘Alfie’ Garcia made this wonderful video which features the main character enduring his own spell in prison leading to a wholesome ending.
