With dogs barking how can I find a quiet place ? My quest to retire in Cebu Philippines goes as planned and today I was going to show you my favorite quiet spot in the garden, but my neighbors dogs almost ruin the hole video. But with after some waiting, the dogs quiet down and I was again surrounded with bird songs and silence once more.

A little background story. Almost 30 years ago I married my lovely wife who I met here on this very lot here in lovely Cebu Philippines. Luck has it that now this lot is ours and we have built our future retirement home here. I designed the House myself many years ago and with the help of several contractors it has developed into a cozy home for my family and me. Our children are now both in their early twenties and ready to journey out on their own both in their chosen profession.

Now our home changes form from a family home where my children grew up into a home where my wife and me will spend our retirement.

We always loved a nice garden, and with the help from our family our garden have really become a quiet and beautiful place. I love the sounds of birds and the smell of flowers. Now I can take a stroll in the garden and look at all the various plants, trees and flowers and smile from ear to ear.

Here under the roof of my tiny gym I love exercising or simply bring a chair and sit with a cup of coffee and look out over the garden. And during those star-filled nights I love sitting in a reclining camping chair looking up at the millions of stars above.
