Total War: Shogun 2 is one of the most beloved Total Wars out there, but I do believe the title has fallen out of the public eye due to several factors. The modding scene was limited during its heyday, it has not received any form of sequels in over 10 years, and support for the game ended after little more than a year. That's why I thought it was time for going back to Shogun 2 and looking at what made this game so awesome, comment on some of its flaws, and answer the question of whether you should play Total War: Shogun 2 in 2022.

Some of my favorite parts of this game are the straight up quality battles and the solid campaign mechanics which appeared so polished compared to Empire, but let me know what you think of Shogun 2 and how it compares to other games in the comments.
