Alex Rudinger - The Black Dahlia Murder - "What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse"

Описание к видео Alex Rudinger - The Black Dahlia Murder - "What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse"

As stated in the beginning of this video, I hope Trevor Strnad is resting peacefully. My heart goes out to all of his friends & family, as well as his brothers in TBDM.

Honestly, I don't know what else to say in this specific video description. The news about Trevor hit me harder than I thought it would, especially considering that I didn't really know him.

I do want to give a quick shoutout / show some love to TBDM drummers: Shannon Lucas - who played drums on this album, & Alan Cassidy - who took over after Shannon's departure. Shannon is actually a friend of mine these days, & I spoke to him just recently. Alan - I don't know if you'll ever read this, but you're sick as hell at the drums, man. I know we don't really know each other, but I've heard nothing but good things, & your playing speaks for itself. I hope you're both doing as alright as possible.

Lastly, I want to thank Declan White. In addition to mixing this video, Declan also helped me out with the vocal stem. Being that I originally intended on making this an instrumental play-through, I had only the guitar / bass stems in my ProTools session. Then, while learning the song, I decided to time-stretch a few of the faster parts down a few BPM (I was struggling, ya'll - I either hit too hard these days, or I just don't have the speed-chops that I used to). The problem with all of that was, when I then decided that I wanted to include the vocals, the original stem didn't line-up, & I wasn't sure of the best way to time-stretch it to match. I asked Declan for help, & he was able to figure it out & make it work. So really, it's thanks to him that I was able to include the vocals at all, & given the circumstances - that was important to me. So for real Declan, thank you for taking the time to help me with that.

Anyway, ya'll - I'm going to deviate from my usual video descriptions for this one, & not rant on or include much else. No links / brand shoutouts. If you really want to know something about the kit, I'll try to respond in some comments. But for now, I just wanna shoutout & show love to the rad vocalist that inspired & influenced many of us in the metal community.

Rest in peace, Trevor.
