In May 2016, the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps traveled to Oslo, Norway to serve as the United States representative at the Norwegian Military Tattoo. In addition to Tattoo performances at the Oslo Spektrum, the Corps performed on Norwegian national television and in concerts and parades throughout the city of Oslo. Marking the unit's first appearance outside North America in almost 25 years, the Corps' performances in Oslo reached over one million people. The Corps joined forces with military units from Norway, Germany, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, and the Netherlands for the Tattoo Finale. The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps was honored to once again represent the skill, professionalism, and rich traditions of the U.S. Army to an international audience.
