Annika and Finnish grandma go hiking in Himachal - a quiet day in Mashobra

We visited Shimla in Himachal Pradesh in the peak of summer. This year it was pretty hot summer in India, even in the hills, and my mom, coming from Finland could feel it more than us. After seeing how crowded Shimla was, we decided to shift to a village in Mashobra which is an hour's drive from Shimla. We mostly stayed at our guest house and relaxed in the mountain views. But one day we went to the local tourist site - Carignano nature part. It was a wonderful hike with my mom and little Annika. We spent a few days in Mashobra but had to cut our visit short because of the forest fires. It was getting really smoky and difficult for Annika to enjoy. So that's how our trip to Mashobra came to end but since we had many more days of vacation left, we decided to explore other areas of Himachal. I hope you enjoy this quiet family time with us :)
