Ultra Low Flow Control with Equilibar Valve and Bronkhorst's Mini CORI-FLOW meter

Описание к видео Ultra Low Flow Control with Equilibar Valve and Bronkhorst's Mini CORI-FLOW meter

This video demonstrates electronic closed loop flow control using the built-in PID software in the Bronkhorst mini CORI-FLOW series. Flow is controlled in the range of 0 to 1000 ml/hour. Imagine controlling flow at less than 1 cc per minute!
For this video the mini CORI-FLOW provides a 0 to 5 VDC drive signal to an Equilibar QPV electronic pressure regulator which translates the signal to a pilot pressure for the Equilibar FDO4 valve. The CORI-FLOW monitors the flow rate using its built in Coriolis flow sensor and then the internal PID loop adjusts the command to the electronic pressure regulator, which adjusts the pilot pressure to the FDO4 control valve and changes the flow rate. This results in closed loop flow control.
This software runs entirely from the flow meter. A PC or PLC is NOT required, but is used in the video for demonstration purposes. For the video, the CORI-FLOW is connected through the Bronkhorst DDE and FlowPlot software (provided as a download) in order to view the live data on the laptop screen. FlowPlot is very powerful software that allows the user to adjust the PID, choose a setpoint, and adjust many other parameters.
The calibration for this demonstration is 0 to 1 liter per hour full scale. Leveraging the wide turndown ratio of the Equilibar FDO4 sanitary flow control valve, this setup allows well over 100:1 flow turndown ratio. This control package would be very useful for product blending or mixing applications, or injection into bioreactors in biopharmaceutical process applications.
