Shadow Wrap Short Rows

In this video, I demonstrate the short row technique called "Shadow Wraps". This technique turns stitches into a "shadow" stitch as opposed to wrapping the stitch. "Twin" and "Triplet
stitches are created before turning your work in short row shaping.

This technique creates short row stitches with a bit more heft to them, making them great for use on your sock heels. No heel flap is used in this heel technique. It's great for sock beginners and also for adding a heel to an existing tube sock pattern that you might have laying around.

This is a fairly long video but it will walk you through all the stages of the short row shaping as well as how to close up those stitches as you create the heel cup.

This technique can replace basically any short row technique in your sock pattern . Try it out! I hope you all love it as much as I do.
