50,000 plus greeters and families welcomed the Sesquicentennial Pioneers at This Is The Place State Park where all who attended experienced the thrill of reaching THE GREAT SALT LAKE VALLEY. Lisa Arrington sings the old melody of Come, Come Ye Saints originally published in the Sacred Harp. It was there at the celebration, President Gordon B. Hinckley and the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and other dignitaries embraced the members of the wagon train and handcarts as it was an emotional real-life experience once felt by thousands of pioneers 150 years ago.
