Snowboarding in Hanazono's Japanese Powder Forest

Today we decided to check out another resort in Niseko Called Hanazono. Going into the day we weren't really expecting to find much new snow but went to the top of the highest lift to explore anyway. Three chairs later the weather had completely changed and we came across a fun powder filled gulley out gate 5 which was just passed the top of the chair. Throughout the day we explored further and further out the gate, and found better snow each time. The tree runs were great with lots of drops and fresh turns to be had, but also led to a small hike to get back to the resort. If you're in Niseko, I would definitely recommend exploring gate 5 for some fun tree runs and soft powder turns.
