Finishing the Water Storage Room Inside our Off Grid CABIN

This week we built a water storage room in our off grid cabin closet. The loft closet has a large water tank to store the rainwater for our cabin water system. We have the tank indoors because we live in Canada where the water would freeze if outdoors. We made the closet as waterproof as possible by laying linoleum flooring, Azek trim and sealing around them. We will be adding a drain in the floor, above the tub, in case we ever have a leek. We hopefully will never have a water issue but if we do we will be prepared.

It feels so good to have the paint and finishes on in the first room of the cabin! It is only a closet but it feels like we have turned a corner and are heading toward finishing our cabin build!
