Kakegurui is an anime (derived from a manga) that takes place in Kyakkaou Private Academy, an elite, high-class school within which gambling determines the student hierarchy and, more often than not, the very value of a person’s life. The story largely follows Yumeko Jabami (the main protagonist), her friends and the student council, the latter being the highest tier of the hierarchy, and effectively running the entire school.
