Holiday season is leftover season! As we had a surplus of apples and spring roll wrappers, we decided to turn them into one of our Filipino faves but with a Canadian twist - Apple Pie Turon. This recipe is super simple and you'll have a yummy dessert in no time!

Yield: 6 small rolls
Apple Pie (Turon) Spring Rolls Ingredients:
Filling:
2 apples, peeled, cored & diced or chopped into bite size pieces
2 Tbsp brown sugar, or adjust accordingly
1/8 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp cornstarch
*if using sweet instead of tart apples, add 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice

other ingredients
spring roll wrapper *see note below
oil for brushing or spraying
1-2 Tbsp brown sugar for sprinkling before air frying or deep frying
