DATRI's Donor Recipient Meet is an inspiring event that is witness to recipients meeting their unrelated blood stem cell donors for the first time. During PHOCON 2018 at Bengaluru, a haematologist, Dr. Shruti Kakkar donated her blood stem cells to five-year-old Vanshika Rohra.
Thanks to her donation, Vanshika was cured of a severe blood disorder, Thalassemia. A lot of emotional moments were shared by the family and the donor, which was a true testament to their bond in blood.
