Root and Muddle Matte Clay Comparisons:

Arcadian Matte Clay: Both have a creamy consistency and a drier finish. However, Arcadian is more pasty, dries into a stickier final result, and does not have nearly the same hold as Root and Muddle.

Templeton Tonics Oasis Clay: Oasis is the closest comparison to Root and Muddle. Both have a similar consistency, incredible scent, and excellent strong holds with a matte finish. While Oasis is slightly less strong than Root and Muddle, it is more versatile and can accommodate a range of slick and loose hairstyles. Where Root and Muddle may offer less versatility, it does outdo Oasis in terms of hold and endurance throughout the day.

Firsthand Clay Pomade: Root and Muddle is creamier, stronger, and more durable, but Firsthand is a bit easier to apply and is smooth enough to accommodate a wide range of hairstyles.

Blumaan Cavalier Clay: Both are strong-holding, waxy clay products. Cavalier, however, is not water-based like Root and Muddle and can become greasy in some hair types later in the day. Root and Muddle is stronger, drier, and more matte than Cavalier.
