My first Walstad Method Planted Aquarium "Underwater Garden"

This project has been my biggest and greatest accomplishment yet. My journey through this hobby and this aquarium in particular started with me not knowing a single thing about planted aquariums or the methodology of growing plants underwater(anaerobically). I didn’t even have a friend in the hobby or anyone I could turn to for guidance. So I spend hours and hours researching, reading and annotating Diana Walstad’s book, “Ecology of the Planted Aquarium” in its entirety. I stayed consistent in my research and that has led me to become the aquarium enthusiast I am today.
I feel extremely lucky to have stumbled upon such an enriching hobby from a small feeble hamster. This aquarium has brought me so much joy throughout the months I’ve had it. Oftentimes, I catch myself looking at the aquarium for way too long or filming interesting discoveries within the small aquatic ecosystem. In fact, all the timeline footage is a collection of pictures and videos from my phone that I have taken from the very start of this aquarium.
I want to make more aquariums in the future, as I have barely scratched the surface of the vast world of aqua scaping, high-tech tanks, CO2 tanks, saltwater tanks and fishkeeping.
I am forever Thankful for Diana Walstad for writing “Ecology of the Planted Aquarium” and for all of my friends and family who have helped me along the way. As my viewer, I also greatly appreciate you watching this video. I could have not gotten here without all of you.❤️
