Faramarz Aslani & Babak Amini - Yar

Faramarz Aslani (Persian: فرامرز اصلانی‎) is an Iranian singer, guitarist, composer, songwriter and producer who was born in Tehran and is a graduate of London University's College of Journalism and has written for several Persian and English publications, since his graduation in the early seventies. Upon returning to his native country, he worked for one of two English dailies, "Tehran Journal" until he was spotted by the President of CBS, in Tehran. His first album, "Occupation of The Heart", recorded for CBS in 1977, has remained on the best sellers chart since its debut. He recorded a second album, "Hafez, a Memorandum", composing music on eight poems of Hafez, Iran's most famous poet and mystic. After the 1979 revolution in Iran, he took his family back to England, where he worked both as a journalist and a musician. He currently lives in the United States.

Babak Amini is a highly talented and accomplished Iranian-Canadian musician, composer, guitarist and a member of American Guitar Society. He is also a member of Toronto Musicians' Association, instructor of Canada Music Academy. Babak Amini was born in April 1970 in Tehran, Iran. His first album was introduced in 1990 and was called 'Gray Rain' followed by 'Blue of the Rain'. He then released his third album, 'Shadow of My Own', which had vocals that was based on poets such as Hafez, Molana, Babataher and Nima.
