Black pepper powder

Salt

Garam masala powder.

According to #food historians # 'Muri Ghonto' as we relish it today is a dish that has its origin in early years of the #Silk Route. It was a food item eaten in the #ports. Over the years it has undergone a change with new modern #ingredients like potato, tomato, onion being added to it with changing regions and tastes. Today we find its different versions in #Malaysia, #Singapore, #China etc.

In Bengal Muri Ghonto forms an important part of the meal(lunch or dinner) especially its inevitable presence in big bashes like weddings or other gala events lends it a class of its own.

This particular #recipe has come from my mother-in-law's kitchen. It has a typical #East #Bengal and #Sylethi touch that makes it a pure joy to savour, a gourmet meal. Pls do try it at home and revert with your comments.
