The Triple BEE commission, an entity of the Trade and Industry Department, has found MTN's 'Zakhele Futhi Scheme' to be inconsistent with the objectives of the Act. The investigation, initiated in 2017, says the scheme restricted and placed limitations on black shareholders...and that MTN Zakhele Futhi was at odds with the requirements for ownership in the codes of good practice.
