Insect Innovation Center launch in Decatur

Innovafeed, a global agtech company, has opened its first North American Insect Innovation Center in Decatur, Illinois. The center will breed black soldier flies in state-of-the-art indoor farms and will be connected via pipeline to ADM's corn processing wet mill. The innovative zero-waste process will generate insect meal, oil, and soil amendment. Demand for alternative proteins in animal feed and pet food continues to increase, and insect farming can provide a new and sustainable solution.
