Here is a quick and easy method to defeat Genichiro. Basically you stay at mid-range, and you prepare an Ichimonji Double regularly.

I was tired and got hit several times, but if you time it right, you can get through the first two phases without getting hit. Once you get to phase three, the trick is to hit him hard whenever you have the chance and jump as soon as he prepare his lightning attack (and hit the attack button before landing). He should be gone in about a minute.
