Dismembered human remains found in Phoenix alley

Phoenix police provided an update to a death investigation near 39th Avenue and McDowell. Detectives are now revealing that dismembered remains had been discovered inside a bag.

Officers discovered the remains on the afternoon of June 28 after someone reported smelling a "foul odor" in the area.

Anyone with information should leave an anonymous tip by calling Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Spanish speakers can leave an anonymous tip by calling Testigo Silencioso at 480-TESTIGO.
