Vitiligo is a skin condition that affects around 1% of the global population. The condition has been popularised by people like Winnie Harlow in recent years who have championed body positivity.

But for a lot of people with vitiligo, it is something they are self conscious about and want to treat it. Sadly, treatment is not widely available and is normally quite expensive.

And people with vitiligo were not happy when a new drug that showed some promising results wasn’t approved by the NHS, in the UK.

We met ambassadors of The Vitiligo Society to understand what it’s like to live with the condition and the fight for treatment.
