2014-2016 BMW M235i (N55)- Replace Valve Cover (and Gasket) - Girlie Garage

You don't have to replace the valve cover at every valve cover gasket change (it's more like every other valve cover gasket on these cars). The process is the same though if you are only changing the gasket.

TOOLS USED:
Sockets: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm
Etorx: 6 point 5mm socket or E6, 6 point 8mm or E10, 6 point 14mm socket or E18
trim tool
magnet
small flat head screwdriver
T25
T30
T50, or you can use 7mm allen, or vice grips
14mm flare nut crows foot
17mm flare nut wrench
masking tape

TORQUE SPECS:
(26) E10 valve cover bolts 75 inch pounds
T50 positive battery terminal clamp - just past hand tight = 10 foot pounds
Small fuel lines 17 ft lbs
Large fuel lines 22 ft lbs
(4) 12mm bolts on fuel rail 10 ft lbs
10mm bolt for a/c 5-7 ft lbs
T25 screws 5-6 ft lbs
(4) 14mm strut bar 30 ft lbs
