How to Live for Free: No Rent or Mortgage in 2025!

In this video we discuss how to live for FREE and not pay rent or a mortgage! On average millennials are spending 30-45% of their income on their housing. Think for a second.. how much you'd be saving if you didn't have to throw away a third of your income to your living situation EVERY single month. That means you could instead invest an additional third of your take home pay and dramatically increase your wealth fast!

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm house hacking a multi-family property here in Chicago. It's a 3 unit property. The top and bottom units more than cover my mortgage payment with principle and interest, but also my taxes and insurance! As of two months ago I started renting out the two spare bedrooms on my floor on Airbnb to increase the profit!

Don't worry if you have NO money or limited funds, you can live for free too! Similar to my example, you can "rent hack" into living for free or actually make money! It's the same concept as my example, with you trying to rent a place with a large amount of bedrooms (usually 3 to 5 bedrooms). Then renting each bedroom out separately. This might require a decent amount of time of front in finding good tenants for the bedrooms, but once you do you could be living for entirely free! Rent hacking to allow you to save up money fast in order to purchase a property or you're able to then invest in other investments.

In summary, I was able to live for free and make money on top of it every month going forward! This will allow me to significantly save money in order to buy my next property or it can allow me to take more risk with my other investments.
