Morsing is a stringed percussion instrument, featured predominantly in Carnatic Music.( South Indian Classical Music ). Truly global in presence, Morsing and its variants contribute to music on a global scale.
It appears in various forms and shapes with over 800 documented names, popularly called Jewish Harp, DanMoi, Drumla and many others in various parts of the world.

In Carnatic Music, its primarily used as a rhythmic complement and has captured the imagination of the audiences with its sweet, yet powerful sound. We can also find its origin in Indian folk music from Rajasthan, and the instrument is called Morchang or Mukhchang till date.
