NZ fruit growers share results for Valagro’s MEGAFOL

Through recent advances in genomics, we have a very good understanding of how MEGAFOL both prepares plants for environmental stress and also helps plants recover from stress. Following application of MEGAFOL, a large number of genes relating to plant response to environmental stress are up-regulated, initiating plant metabolic and biochemical pathways that ensure plants can grow through stress periods and recover faster, leading to good harvests.

MEGAFOL helps plants deal with a wide range of weather events, cold, dry (El nino, droughts), hot, oxidative (rootzone flooding), wounding (hail damage, wind damage) and other stresses such as soil salinity, ensuring high quality harvest.

Papers published in scientific literature demonstrate the ability of MEGAFOL to both support plant growth during stress events such as drought, as well as speeding recovery once the stress event has passed. This may be particularly useful when crop growing in El Nino events in many areas of New Zealand.

MEGAFOL is a very soft product, natural in origin, with low risk to growers, applicators, the public and environment. Megafol contains high levels of amino acids and betaines extracted from plant sources.
