The Sharp AQUOS Crystal 2 had. Today, we can tell you that the phone has been officially unveiled by Sharp. It replaces the Sharp AQUOS Crystal, a bezel-less handset offered by Sprint and Boost Mobile.

The Sharp AQUOS Crystal 2 keeps the bezel-less look for the display, which now measures in at 5.2-inches. A Snapdragon 400 SoC drives the phone, which contains a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 306 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of non-expandable native storage. The back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 2MP, respectively. A 2030 battery fuels the phone. The device offers 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC connectivity.

The Sharp AQUOS Crystal 2 will be available in white, black, pink and turquoise some time at the end of July, in Japan. The unit will once again be water and dust resistant. It measures 11mm thick and weighs 154 grams. Because of the bezel-less display, the front-facing camera is located below the screen, and the earphone speaker is replaced with the same bone conducing technology used on the OG version of the phone.

Pricing and availability are unknown at this time. It also isn't clear whether Sprint and Boost Mobile will be offering the new model as a replacement to the OG version of the phone.
