Описание к видео Major Cultural Practices of the Swazi people

The Swazi people are of the Bantu ethnic group in Southern Africa, primarily inhabiting Eswatini, South Africa's Mpumalanga province, as well as Mozambique. They constitute a major part of the Nguni-language speaking people. In the history of Swaziland, Mswati II remains one of the most famous  kings, owing to his bravery and unsurpassed powers. He ruled the Swaziland between 1840 and 1868, and was considered one of the greatest warrior kings of the land.
It was under his kingship that the territorial boundaries of Swaziland were immensely  increased.
Eswatini, the region mostly populated by the Swazi people was first occupied by the San people. It was in the 5th century that the Swazis settled there, just after they migrated from north East Africa. Today, there are Swazi people all over the world, particularly in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, among other locations. Christianity is the most common religion among the Swazis, with many of the Christian being Catholics, particularly of the Zionist Churches.
Notwithstanding Some Swazi people still hold on to their traditional beliefs,  — they consult traditional healers known as tinyanga who use natural medicine and ritual to cure people of their ailments. Some of them also believe in witchcraft and sorcery. The Xhosa, Hlubi, Zulu, Sotho,Ndebele, and Tsonga people are the closest tribes to the Swazi, hence they share some similarities. Every Swazi person's surname is the same as their father's clan name, however, some women bear their husbands' clan names as surnames.
