Born in 1986 in Armenia
Talented kanoon player Marianna Gevorgyan being so young already enjoys the love and respect of those who sympathize with the executive art of the national musical instruments.
“The scenic charm” of nowadays kanoon which is a national musical instrument and we have it from the 5th century. The kanon flawlessly plays not only the virtuosic skills of the instrument, but also its expressive tricks. It performs unique renderings of national and classical difficult compositions.
She was born in Yerevan, on the 5th of November, 1986. Left school college N 199 after A. Khachatryan. Marianna was prominent for her exemplary behavior and excellent progress, for which she was awarded a note of thanks by the Ministry of Education and Science.
Left the Musical School after Al. Spendiaryan, then graduated from the baccalaureate and the Master’s course and course of YSC of Yerevan State Conservatoir after Komitas.
From the school years Marianna Gevorgyan worked at the orchestra of Children’s Philharmonic Society. During the student studies she worked at “Armen Akob”, then at “Armelectro” CJSC “Parvana” orchestra of national instruments, “Sarga” dancing group, Komitase chamber holl ensamble Tagharan solo qanun
The young kanoon player does a splendid concert activity. She performed at all the districts of RA, produced CD-s and videos. Performed a lot of concerts with student quintet in the districts of RA. She had five solo concerts with Armenian and foreign students. In 2011 Performed at Charity concert in internat –house № 1 of Yerevan. Cooperated with prominent musicians. In 2011 solo concert in Naregatsi art institute. Together with the prominent program of concert presented a lot of workings of classical difficult compositions and presented to the attention of the audience the wide possibilities of the kanoon.In 2016 she had a great solo concert dedicated to Khachatur Avetisyans 90 th anniversary at “Komitas” chamber of music house, accompanied with “ Tagharan” the ancient music ensemble. In 2018 charity solo concert in Artsakh. She has been entrusted a number of premiers by famous composers such as Vardan Ajemyan and Yervand Yerkanyan. By the suggestion of Marianna, a work was written for organ and qanoon, which is exceptional. Numerous radio and tv shows dedicated to Marianna Gevorgyan.
The talented kanoon player:
In 2009 was awarded a diploma and the first prize at the third Republican competition of National musical instruments and folk song of individual performers devoted to the 140 anniversary of the birth of Komitas.
2010- “Renascence” international second concert-festival of musician-performers devoted to the 95th anniversary of Armenian Genocide, was the laureate of the second class and was awarded a silver medal.
2011 “Renascence” international third concert-festival of musician-performers devoted to the 20th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was the laureate of the first prize and was awarded the diploma of “Scenic Charm”.
