The Rangoon is in Hong Kong damaged by a typhoon. It has arrived 10 days late, and WILLY FOG and his friends are kind of worried because they believe they have lost the Carnactic. RIGODON and TICO try to find another ship to go to Yokohama. Meanwhile, WILLY FOG and Princess ROMY search for her relatives only to find out they have already died. WILLY FOG decides that Princess ROMY will travel with them to London. In the harbour, RIGODON and TICO find out that the Carnactic has broken down and that is still moored in Hong Kong. They inform WILLY FOG and go back to buy the tickets. On their way back they meet DIX who tries to get RIGODON drunk. Suddenly, TRANSFER appears, knock DIX down and disguises himself as DIX. He takes a glass of wine with sleeping powder in it and gives it to RIGODON, who falls asleep immediately. BULY comes in and DIX (TRANSFER) orders him to take RIGODON and TICO to the Carnactic, and this way the ship will leave without WILLY FOG as RIGODON has the tickets.
