I reached out to 19 of my future classmates to ask them how they got accepted into the most selective university in the country. I'm going to break down their responses into a multi-part series, with this first episode on state and extracurriculars.

I LIVED off these kinds of videos while I was applying, because they helped me get a better impression of what Stanford really is looking for in an applicant. You'll see that admissions officers really do care about GPA, but that you don't have to be perfect; test scores are valuable, but not everything; you've got to do things that you're passionate about in high school, and make a difference.
