1. Sindhi Kadhi Recipe

Ingredients:
1. Ghee or Oil – 2-3 spoons
2. Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
3. Asafoetida – 1 pinch (optional)
4. Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon (optional)
5. Chopped ginger and chilly – 1 teaspoon.
6. Besan (Chickpea flour) – 1 Cup
7. Water – 2 Cups
8. Salt – As per taste
9. Tamarind and Jaggery paste – As per taste.
10. Cleaned and Cut vegetables - drumsticks, ladies finger, carrot, cluster beans, pumpkin, potato, brinjal, yam
11. Tomato puree
12. BesanPakoras – 1 Cup(optional)

Method:
1. Heat a pan and add little oil.
2. Add a teaspoon of cumin seeds and splutter.
3. Add a cup of besan and mix well.
4. Add little-chopped ginger and two finely cut green chilies and mix well to form a fine paste.
5. Add a cup of water and boil the mixture.
6. Add a teaspoon of turmeric.
7. Add a teaspoon of salt as per taste.
8. Add a large spoon of tamarind and jaggery paste as per taste and mix well.
9. If the mixture is thick, add a little more water.
10. Now add drumsticks, ladies finger, carrot, cluster beans, pumpkin, potato, brinjal, yam, tomato paste, and pakoras and mix well and boil for some time till the vegetables are cooked well.
11. Add a teaspoon of red chilli powder and mix well.
12. Sindhi kadhi is ready.


2.SabudanaHalwa

Ingredients:
1. Ghee – 2 to 3 teaspoons
2. Boiled Water – 1 Cup
3. Sabudana – prepared.
4. Kesar (Saffron) – 1 teaspoon
5. Cardamon powder – 1 teaspoon
6. Sugar – As per taste

Method:
1. Heat a pan and add ghee to it.
2. Boil a little water and keep aside.
3. Add the prepared sabudana to the ghee and sauté well for a few minutes till it gets soft and flowers.
4. Add the hot water to it.
5. Add a spoon of kesar(saffron) and mix well.
6. Add a teaspoon of cardamom powder.
7. Add sugar as per taste and mix well.
8. Cook till the water evaporates. Keep sautéing it in a circular motion. Lower the flame.
9. SabudanaHalwa is ready.

Dadi tastes both and also serves to other brothers and sisters.
