Skiing COSMIQUES COULOIR - Aiguille du Midi on a deep POWDER DAY!!!

The Cosmiques couloir/Couloir des Cosmiques is one of THE classic ski descents on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi - Chamonix. Very steep and narrow at the start (absail almost certainly obligatory these days), before opening out into a wide 40-45deg powder bowl which gives hundreds of meters of epic skiing! Queuing is a given, and you will never have the place to yourself on a blue sky day. We were on the second bin of the day and there was still at least 20 people dropping into the line in front of us... but once you are into the belly of the beast there is plenty of snow for everybody to find their line, just dont expect it to stay good for very long. Being predominantly west facing it gets sun baked very quickly after fresh snowfall...
