Fuzhou, Sanfang Qixiang - a well-known historic and cultural block

Sanfang Qixiang is a well-known historic and cultural block located in the city of Fuzhou, which is the capital of Fujian Province in southeastern China. The name "Sanfang Qixiang" literally means "three lanes and seven alleys" and refers to the layout of the neighborhood, which consists of three main lanes running north-south and seven smaller alleys running east-west.
Sanfang Qixiang is famous for its well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, which features white-washed walls, black-tiled roofs, and intricately carved wooden doorways and windows. Many of the buildings in the area date back to the 18th and 19th centuries and have been designated as protected cultural relics by the Chinese government.
