Why I Created Our Pets Health

Conventional, evidence based veterinary medicine has done so much to improve the health and happiness of our pet cats and dogs. Scientific advancement is bringing us new understanding, new diagnostics and new treatment options at such a rapid rate we are so lucky to be living when we are.

Unfortunately, we also live in an age where expert opinion and vet advice is frequently ignored and the internet is awash with self-styled experts and the vocal minority who do not believe in science, have no relevant training and reject anyone who disagrees with their fantastical view of health as being corrupt, naive or moronic. Despite this information having no supportive evidence, this noise can help to create doubt in peoples minds and so cause patient health to suffer.

It is from this experience that Our Pets Health was born. I hope that by providing a reliable, thorough, evidence based review of pet health topics in a format that can be reviewed again and again, you will be able to make clear decisions that you are completely happy with. We are all individual and all our families each have unique circumstances and challenges. It follows then that the best path for one patient and their family may be completely different to another patient and their family when presented with the same condition.
