I recently purchased a Tascam Portacapture X8. It is a very good PCM recorder for Handpan. I made a comparison video with the Zoom H6, which I have used for many years.

Which one do you prefer? Personally, I prefer Tascam X8, which is flat and clean.Zoom H6, which emphasizes the high and midrange.

X8 has a good amount of EQ during mixdown.However, the X8 has a larger LCD, so the battery life is worse than the H6...

個人的には中高域が強調されているZoom H6。フラットでクリーンなTascam X8という印象。
私はミックスダウン時にEQの入り具合が良いX8を選びます。また、X8が搭載しているマイクプリアンプの方がよりNT5の力を引き出しているような気もします。しかし、X8は大きな液晶を付属しているので電池持ちはH6よりも悪いのが欠点。
